How direct billing works

When you book, we ask for your extended health benefits information so we can bill your insurance company directly. At your appointment, the insurer's payment portal tells us the amount your plan will pay, and we bill the clinic for that portion.

Every insurance plan is different, so you may or may not be required to pay a co-payment or a deductible. Most plans have a deductible that must be paid before the insurer begins covering treatment — much like a dental visit — and that deductible resets each calendar year on January 1.

You are responsible for any remaining amount your insurer does not pay. We do not check patients' coverage; please review your extended health benefits booklet or your insurer's online portal to confirm what your plan covers.

If the insurance portal is down or inaccessible on the day of your appointment, we will bill you for the full amount and ask that you submit the claim to your insurer yourself.

Benefits and coverage vary between plans and employers. Please confirm your coverage with your insurance company before your visit — being listed below means we can submit a claim, not that your plan will pay.
